Rose Petal Loukoumi Box
This traditional jelly-like delight called “loukoumi” is made from starch and sugar and is a confection very popular amongst people of all ages, not only in Greece but in the whole Mediterranean region. This old recipe developed from the pastry makers of Chios island combines loukoumi with fragrant rose petals from the local orchards. It is traditionally served with coffee or tea, or with a glass of cold water as a welcome treat in Greek households.
Ingredients: Sugar 58%, glucose syrup 20%, starch 8%, rose petal, citric acid, rose flavoring
