Cretan Dittany was used since ancient times as a spice in cooking and for medical purposes. The Minoans considered it the most valuable therapeutic plant. This tea helps soothe stomach pains, the digestive system, rheumatism and arthritis pains. Also used as a healing tonic and anti-convulsant. In cooking it is used for seasoning fatty meats. Dittany is collected from the region of Crete Emparos during flowering in May.
